Okay, I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage and hope you're getting better. But.... you probably weren't fired for having a miscarriage; you were let go for missing work due to a medical condition that caused a miscarriage. And really that is more than likely the legal issue. Beyond helping you frame the issue I'm not able to advise you about the law, but would encourage you to visit with a lawyer who practices in the area of employment law. I believe Paige Fiedler (515-254-1999) out of Des Moines does a pretty good job in this area. She has a website and her address is as follows: Fiedler & Timmer, P.L.L.C. 2900 - 100th Street, Ste 209 Des Moines, IA 50322 ph: 515.254.1999 fax: 515.254.9923 - http://www.employmentlawiowa.com/index.php
