Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

I am inquiring if I even have a case and would like an to know if I should pursue.

To make a long story short, I filed a grievance with the HR department of my employer on another co-worker. I was told when I turned that grievance in it will be confidential. The following day the person I filed against was in our supervisors office as I arrived to work, and then the co-worker came to my desk and verbally attacked me about the situation. I didnt know HR would pass that to our supervisor as I thought they would have taken care of it as I was told HR would talk to her. As we are exchanging words neither of my supervisors came out of their offices to stop our argument. By the hand book it states if you have a problem to report it to our HR, and there is ZERO tolerance. The co-worker should have been fired for the racist comment she said. This is some what of what has happen and just curious if I even have a case to win. I believe there were some labor laws broken here and some people should not be employed.

What sort of a case do you think you may be able to sue under and how have you been damaged? I think you should see an employment law attorney but I do not see from your facts that you have a cause of action that could be translated into money.
