Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa

My name is Bethany, I am 19 and am on disability. I have severe asthma with documentation to prove. I live in low income apartments and signed a 12 month lease. Smoking is prohibited and so is illegal drugs. There is no sublease or getting out of my lease that I know of. I can smell marijuana smoke throughout the hallways and in my apartment. It's causing me to have terrible weezing and coughing. I talked to the landlord and she said that they handle it and it's been month 2 and it's still going on. I don't know how to get out of my lease and what rights I have
