Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa

I have current renters insurance an live at an apartment complex which I recieved a letter from the complex stating that I have to put their name on my renters insurance if not I will get evicted. I am a good tenant here I have never been late on my rent or given the complex any type of problems at all? Is this legal can they do this?
