Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Iowa

I am being called by someone who claims to be a lawyer hired to sue me. These people have called me twice now. Each time they keep wanting me to confirm all kinds of personal information. They will not tell me who they work for or who hired them. The only information I was able to finally get from them was the call was over a pay day loan. I didn't apply for any loan. I definately didn't recieve any money. These people keep pushing me for my personal information. I don't need or want any legal actions taken against me for something I didn't even do. The whole thing feels like a con job. But how can I be sure? What can I do?

Get a name and check the Iowa Courts Commission website. All attorneys licensed in Iowa are listed there. If the individual is not an attorney, you can contact the commission regarding the unauthorized practice of law. You might also contact your county attorney. And obviously, you should not give them any information.
