Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Iowa

I took my 17 yr old granddaughter to county health services to get a Meningitis Vaccination in preparation for attending college. I gave written consent for the vaccine. Several days later my granddaughter received a certified letter from the county health services stating that she received a HPV vaccine & that she still needed to receive the meningitis vaccine. My granddaughter is extremely distaught & feels violated that she received a vaccine that she feels puts her at risk for possible health complications. We visited the clinic & was told by the nurse that she made a mistake in giving the wrong vacine. Does my granddaughter have any legal recourse?

If by recourse you mean a payday, that's problematic. You might want to check with someone who practices in the area of medical malpractice.
