Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

I owe medical bills for someone else's injuries caused by someone else driving my truck. since i didn't have insurance, i have a hold on my license until i either enter into a payment plan for these bills, or get a financial liability release waiver signed. the individuals bills were covered completely by his insurance, but he demands i pay him the full amount (no payment plan) do i have to pay him or can i pay the insurance company?

If the bills were covered by insurance you would pay the insurance company not the person who was injured. Call the insurance company directly and enter into a payment plan. Either that or file bankruptcy.
