Legal Question in Traffic Law in Iowa

My daughter was backed in to while waiting in line to exit her high school parking lot- the young ladie didnt see her and backed into her driver side rear quarter panel and left moderate damage bothe girls were scared and since no one was hurt the both went home- what are my options as this young ladie failed to yield right of way and did not ensure safe access to the driving lane-

The cops weren't called, were they? You can try contacting them and see whether they'll do an accident report for the insurance company and maybe a summons will come out of that although I wouldn't bet the ranch on it.
