Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa

If a probate lawyers says his fee for handling probate is 2% , what should that fee cover? If, after the initial meeting I receive a fee contract and it does not show the stated 2% but list things like court fees, extraordinary services (there is real estate to be sold), expenses, etc would it be safe to sign the contract or should I contact the lawyer and ask him for an explanation?

It depends on what you and the attorney agrees it should include. Apparently the attorney believes it does not include those items, and you believe it should. You should discuss this with the attorney. If there is something which is not clear to you, you should ask for an explanation.
