Legal Question in Workers Comp in Iowa

Deposition

An ex colleague of mine is involved in a Worker's Compensation dispute and has filed a third party claim against our former principal. Our school district lawyer is asking many of us to come and visit with them about what we know and demanding that we make a deposition. Am I required by law to do so? I had a personal relationship with this colleague, but do not know anything about the specific situation.

Re: Deposition

Hello, you are not required to speak with anyone unless subpoened. If subpoened then it should be to a deposition where the other attorney and all parties have the opportunity to be present. Hope this helps.
