If you were hired in Iowa and your work is directed from there you are covered there. Where the employer does not carry workers' comp insurance, you fall into the common law, which means we can sue him in most cases and get common law damages- pain & suffering, medical bills etc. We are certain to pick up a general liability policy somewhere down the line and obtain compensation.

You are into a very complex question. Please phone my office Monday (309)794-1468 and make an appointment. We will need an hour together. You should do so as quickly as possible.

If you are an employee you should be covered under his workers' compensation policy. Some employers don't buy workers' compensation and if that's the case it is complicated by how to get your medical paid and to getpaid weekly indemnity. We've handled these case before and they can be tough although we've had mixed success with them. Call if we can help you.
