Legal Question in Workers Comp in Iowa

Lost job on probationary period

I had been working at my job for 2 months. I felt like I was doing very well, even putting in overtime when it wasn't mandatory. A little before 2 months of working there, I get called in to a meeting with my boss and her boss. They gave me a letter reading: Due to your performance during your probationary period, we have decided that your employment at _____ will be terminated effective immediatley. I got no explanation to what that means. I always felt that my boss was out to get me though if I asked a question to another worker she would come up to me and said less talking more work and I'd try to explain why I was talking and she'd walk away. I haven't tried to contact her or anyone seated higher than her yet. Please help! :(

If you can't find a job file with unemployment. What does the employment contract state? No lawyer can answer this question without seeing where it was stated you were in a probationary period and what rules applied to a probationary period. Steve
