Legal Question in Workers Comp in Iowa

Can they do that?

i'm a OTR driver. I live in OK, the company i work for is in Iowa. I have a work related injury, the compnay wants me to ride in a 18 wheeler for 12 to 13 hours to go a dr. in Iowa. Accident happened in Ok where i live. Could they do that?

No. The employer can require you to attend only those medical appointments that are reasonable. I've had this situation in several instances and consistently the commission requires the employer to set the appointments up closer to the injured employees home.
