Legal Question in Family Law in Iran

child custody

me and my wife in december 2007 move to iran our home country. she quit her job and took the kids from school and brought to iran . i came back 30 days after that, because of my job. after 5 months i went back she did not put them in school. and she left the country after 9 months. now she been away from usa for 9 months. she file divorce after two month in usa, now in been six moths after she left iran, iStaied in iran with kids take them to school, I been awarded full custody of all my children in iran we are both iranian citizen and usa citizen. Can the court grant her the custody of our children even the been away from usa more than a year and i have custody in iran?

This is too complicated for an email like this. I'm not even sure I understand the timeline.

Ms. Brochstein is correct, you are going to need a certified translation of your Iranian divorce decree, including the child custody provisions. If your wife filed her divorce action in the greater Houston area, feel free to contact me, otherwise find a good family law attorney in the county where your wife filed.

You definately need a TX attorney. You also need to have a certified copy of your paperwork from Iran that has been translated into English.
