Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Italy

my brother died the previous week
in los Angeles of USA. because I live
in Europe and I dont know for my
rights around from the heritage I
would want you give me certain
information, because I intend to
come(please help.. to know what to
do!)
A spouse exists and he takes all if a
will does not exist..ok ! But if a last
will exist :
1)who will tell me that exists????
2) what i should do and where i
should go???

I will find the last will in some town
hall ?(I heard for probate... I do not
understand what is exactly..)
3) i will need to find a lawyer or the
state will help me???
