Teh tiem designated int eh agreemetn between teh parites ussually rules as the established time forme. Wihtout adate, most courts find the contractor has reasoanable time, given the work to be doen, and the prerequisites to doing the work. What is a reasonable time, is ussually a case-by-case determination. First see that the requisites are complete. A framing contyractor cannot start work until the foundationis poured. Are there wetaht conditions that prevent the work being done safely or accurately. Foundation cannot always get dug or poured if there is continuous rain.

If you fidn that thetre is nto set date int eh agreement,a nd nothing preventing the work form being doen, then you shoudl demand to knwo the exact satrt date. If that date is unacceptable, then consel the agreement. It will put the onus on the contractor to show why work could not have been done when anticipated. This may be tough if the end user has already paid the contractor. In that case, you might have sue to get a refund.

Good luck
