Legal Question in Consumer Law in Kansas

Vehicle Damage

I had my oil changed at quick lube shop and due to the tech not tightening my oil drain plug, my engine lost all oil. The car dealer where i took my 6month old truck had to replace the motor. The cost was over $7000. The oil shop's insurance co. agreed to pick up the cost of all repairs. My ? is, should I expect any type of compensation for the loss of use and or loss of working time. They have made no such offers, nor have I requested any. What is reasonable? I don't neccessarily want to take this to court. Should I ask for some compensation? Thank you for a response. --name removed-
