Once you turn eighteen, your adoptive parents may not be obligated to allow you to live in the family home. But, as you are in college, one or both of them may be obligated to provide support. It could take much time to bring that claim through the courts. You need to find housing for after this semester. Start by seeking the assistance of your college. You might also consider the military. You should also start looking for a job in your college town. You might be able too go to dinner summer school, and get financial aid. That is where your parents obligation to assist with housing costs may kick in. You were wise to seek general advice here. The smart thing now might be to consult directly with an attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
