Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

My brother is taking my friend to court over their daughter, for joint custody. She was in the process of moving out of state when she got served with the papers. Should there be any problems if she decides to still go?

He may be granted primary custody and she may have to pay child support to him and pay for the child to travel to have visitations with her. If that is not too much, then she can move without worry.
