Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I'm trying to claim common law marriage and I meet all requirements. My spouse is in hospice care and was deemed brain dead. That is not the case, he is responding to voice. His brother whom is next if Kim has power of attorney and won't do anything to prolong his life. I want power of attorney to get him the life saving medical he needs. Time is not in my side. What can I do to get power of attorney turned over to me.

The process if getting appointed custodian ir Guardian is more complicated than can be fully explsined here. You need to consult directly with a probate attorney in your area. Some have open offices in Saturdays. Start contacting then immediately. You can look in the phine book ir on the internet.
