Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Father's rights

I have a 14 yr old son who lives out of state. I rarely get to see my son, other than partial summers and select holidays. He has had terrible grades since leaving the state and now is failing his freshman yr. What are my options? He does not want to live with my family due to the structural nature and responsibilities, whereas his mother's home is not. Do I have any recourse to bring him to live with me to help him?

Re: Father's rights

If there has been a material change in circumstances with regard to the welfare and best interest of your child, you may always file Petition with the court of original jurisdiction requesting change of residency. . .I suggest you retain legal counsel to assist you.
