Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Foster Home Abuse

I have a very lengthy story to tell but will be very short about this to see if there is anyway you can help me. I have a 15 year old daughter who is in foster care through The Farm Inc. She has been there for several months and I have been trying to get her to come home. There was no abuse or anything of that sort as to why she is in foster care, she is in there to ''prove a point'' to her. Since she has been in foster care she has gotten progressively worse. She has learned more bad habits than she ever knew. She has been moved from home to home, most with less supervision than she has EVER had here at her own home! Recently she was beaten by the foster mother and two of the foster parents friends. She was held down by grown older women while the others hit and kicked her. The Wichita Police said they have there three witness reports which say Tara attacked them. Of course the witness reports are the three women who jumped her so they all coincide with each other. I know my daughter has problems but she has been through so much and all she wants is to come home. I need her here more than anything. My husband was killed on Sept. 24 of this year and I just feel the family should be together again. They can monitor her a

Re: Foster Home Abuse

You are correct. Your situation is a lengthy one, that does not express well in this limited format. I did not get your entire message, but I heard enough to know that you need to obtain an attorney in your area to go over your situation with you. We do not know under what circumstances (or what charges against you) that she was placed into foster care. Therefore, it would be nearly impossible to tell you what it would take to get her out of teh system.

Good Luck
