property settlement
My husband signed a quit claim deed, deeding the house to me. Then moved out and filed for divorce. Now in the divorce settlement, he wants me to give him $10,000 for equity in the house. Is he intitled, by law, to any money, since he signed the deed before he filed for divorce?

The house becomes subject to division by the court even if he deeded it to you.
