Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

My sister in law has full custody of 3 kids. She is currently going through mediation with her ex-husband and the court appointed mediator seems to be seriously biased since she was friend with the ex-husband. Visitations for summer were cut despise complaints of unsafe environment for the kids and affirmation of the conditions from the ex-husband. Child Support benefits had been also cut to half. Due to the mediator cozy relationship with the ex-husband, can my sister in law request a change in mediator?

Mediation is an opportunity to resol;ve things between the parents. It is nto arbitration, where the third person makes decisions that the primary two must live with. The mediator cn sugget changes to visition, custody and support. But, only the parents and the judge can change them. If your Sister in law feels that the mediator is biased, she shoudl choose to use another mediator.

Good luck
