Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

My sons father is court ordered to pay half of medical bills. Isent him a copy of some bills , the beginning of 2009, because my son and I have the same account, I had to black out my charges before I sent them. He and his live in said they weren't paying because my charges were on there too.I have paid off these bills and sent him all payment records to request his half. He now says he will not give me the money for his half. What can I do about this situation.

Residents of Johnson County, Kansas are very fortunate in that the Office of the District Court Trustee has established a set of forms which allow a parent to request medical expense reimbursement. A special court docket handles these matters. If your case is in a different county, you may need to file a Motion for Reimbursement of Medical Expenses with the court. Be ready to prove that the medical expense claim is correct, and that the other parent has already been provided copies of the bills and has had an opportunity to pay.
