change of name on birth certificate

I was given wrong information about legal name on birth certificate and for 42 years have been using a wrong name on all legal papers. How legal is the contracts made with wrong name and what do I do to fix the situation?

You can have the name on your social security account amended to reflect the name on your birth certificate, or seek to have your ame legally changed to what you have been using.

For the most part all the contracts you have entered into are still engforceable against you. You just made them in the alias name you have bee nusing for years.
