Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Kansas

What is the proper form for filing an answer in response to a civil suit. I am being sued by a creditor and I need to make an answer, but don't know how it should be filed or in what form.

Kansas allows some limted represntation situations. Having an attorney assist you in drafting yrou Pro Se Answer is among the type of things that limited represetation often entails. It is impossible to give you complete advice as to hoiw you should draft your Answer in the abstract. Keep in mind that is important to both fiel your Answer with the court and serve a copy on the Plaintiff's attorney, wiithin the limted time. It is also importatn to appear at the Answer docket and deny the petition, (if that is your position) If you fail in either aspect, a judgmetn by default might be had against you. Undoing one of those will likley cost you severals times more in legal fees than getting help drafting your Answer.

Someake aprose answer (almost alway sa bad idea). Others answer numbered line by numbered line with how the allegations are listed in the petition. If you fail to timely raise your affirmative defense(s), they may be forever lost.

Good luck
