Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Kansas

Inventor Rights

I invented and Patented a product that was on the market in the 1980's. The patent expired in 1993. There is another company promoting a very similar product today and promoting that they invented this technology. Is there any legal recourse against this company? Will I always have the right to say I invented this technology?

Example: Orville and Wilbur Wright heirs can always say they invented the first airplane!

Please advise,

Re: Inventor Rights

In California we would call this false and misleading advertising as well as unfair competition. You need to find an attorney in the state where this company is doing this and check whether that state has similar laws.
