Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Kansas

Use of purchased website name

Can a person or company be forced to remove a website on the grounds its name is too similar to another person or company name? There is nothing similar in the products or services. And our two word name is completely different from their one word name, (except there is no space to separate that on a web address which is what may be causing the fuss). The term �use of intellectual property� was tossed around in a notice to take down our site. This notice also came from a foreign company, (From France), outside the U.S. Should I be concerned, or is it a matter of the name was available, and they didn't cover their bases?

You should be concerned. Hire an attorney in Kansas (where you are) who handles domain name disputes.
