Legal Question in Tax Law in Kansas

I bought a house with my boyfriend in 2009. We both qualified for the tax credit. I can't change my address for another year. I am the co-signer and claimed the 8 grand on my taxes. My boyfriend went behind my back and built up a lot of debt. so, refinancing is out of the question. How can I get my name off the house without paying back the 8 grand?

This is in part a federal income tax question that I cannot easily answer (the tax credit) as well as a real estate question (my name off the house). Not enough facts to answer either one. But, the $$ involved make it necessary to go to a CPA, tax preparer or other tax person for sound advice. Sorry I cannot be more specific.
