I am paying out of pocket for an auto accident. What type of legal paper should be written to keep this from being a legal issue later? The other person wanting more.

There are several options for you to minimize the likelihood that you will be sued later, or be able to defend yourself. Basically, you want to be able to prove all the money you have paid out, without obligation yourself to pay more. If you are paying for body drop and mechanic bills, you don't want to be made liable for Phantom physical injuries later. But, what may protect you in one suit, may prove the case against you in another. The facts of the accident, and the terms of the agreement between the parties dictates which "form" is best for you. I suggest that you consult directly with a lawyer in your area. Once they know more of the facts, they might be able advise you, and perhaps draft something. for you. It shouldn't cost much.

Good luck
