Plead not guilty and request a continuance so you can speak with an attorney. I would strongly recommend you retain an attorney, as this charge may carry jail time, a fine, and possible loss of license. Even if you don't hire an attorney, you may as well make the city prove their case and request a trial. You say that you took care of the suspension, but a warrant was issued. What was the warrant for? Feel free to email me if you want to look into this in more detail.
