There are a few ways to defend against a speeding tiocket. Unfortunately, most cost more than the fine. You can argue the method that your speed was determined. If it was by radar, you can seek to see teh certification of the officer using the equipment and the calibration records for the device used. If it wa by observation, you can copntest teh estimation. If the officer was operating his vehicle at the time, you can argue tha tperspective may have given a false indication of yoru speed. You can argue the same thing, if hte offer's car was stationary. But, it is often less likely to succeed, if they allege you wre going more than six miles over the limit.

As it is expensive to defend these things, and expensive for the State to provide all the information through Discovery, most tickets that are not paid, are plead to a non-moving violation, The driver pays a higher fine, and doesn't take the knock on your driver's license and insurance premiums. Let me know where you got the ticket,a nd I may be able to refer an attorney for you.

Good luck
