Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

1870s Kansas - unmarried man wills his debt free real property to his only blood kin, an unmarried niece. Shes half white through the mans side; half Cherokee through the maternal side. Could she legally own the property upon his death and proof of validity of the Will? Where can I research this online?

Whether she could have instantly taken title depends upon her age, among other things. As thiws nsupposed occurrence took place more than 130 years ago, what actually occuurred is the best place to determine possible outcomes down the lineage of title and inheritancy. You can research this further in the Law Library at the Washburn Law School.

Good luck
