Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

How are fees set up for processing wills and estates?

Is there a standard percentage rate or fee rate for settling an estate?

20 thousand for executor

20 for lawyer

5 for accountant

Should the firm give you an itemized fee bill if requested?

You'd have to ask a KS lawyer about fees, since the probate laws vary greatly from state to state.

Any firm, in any state, should give you an itemized accounting. What they may not be able to do is give a projected bill when handling a matter on a time-based fee.

There is no set fees. Although soem attorneys charge as a percentage of the size of the estate. If you have a time based fee agreement, an attorney should be able to provide adetailed listing of charges for a client. If it is a percentage or flat fee, then they may not be able to tell you how long each activity took.

Good aluck,
