Re: doctor

Kansas law provides for $500.00 to be used by an injured claimant as an unauthorized medical allowance. The insurance carrier will have to pay $500.00 for your unauthorized treatment or second opinion examination unless a permanent impairment rating is issued by the medical provider. The unauthorized medical allowance is only available one time. Consult an experienced workers' compensation lawyer.

Re: doctor

If you go to your own Doctor you will have to pay. You do have the ability to receive $500.00 in unauthorized medical treatment and can use that for your own Doctor, if you have not already use it up.
