Re: Light duty

If you quit the job, you will still be entitled to receive authorized medical treatment. If you quit the job, and the employer is willing to accomodate you by providing light duty, you will lose your ability to claim work disability at a later time. It is normally to the claimant's advantage to accept the light duty and carefully observe the physical restrictions imposed by the treating doctors. Consult an experienced workers' compensation lawyer.

Re: Light duty

Yes you can quit your job. However, if you quit your job you will most likely not be able to collect Total or Partial Temporary Disability (TTD,PTD).The medical will not be affected, but TTD, PTD and any work loss claim would be affected.
