can you file bankrucy on just credit cards without filing on any thing else?

You are required, under penalty of perjury, to list ALL of your debts and assets. That does not mean you have to treat all your debts the same, however. For example, you can agree with a creditor to repay them while you keep their collateral (such as a house or a car) through a process the Bankruptcy Court calls "reaffirming."
