Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Kentucky

Hi, A sherriff is trying to serve papers to my wife who is ill and not here. It is a credit card company trying to collect via collector. I have not been here and last year they just went away. However, today I got a threat letter from the sherriff saying he was going to put a pick up on both my cars and is going to get nasty with me if I don't tell him where she is. I can only pay one bill of hers at a time with doctor bills even though I am not really obligated for her credit cards. She is very ill and can't work or drive . A sherriff has threatened and lied before saying he would get a warrant, etc. Is he lying to scare me and what is his authority. I thought they just picked up criminals and delivered papers. I don't think he can do this and I will not tell him where this sick woman is.

Thx

A sherriff is trying to serve papers to my wife Don't shoot the sherriff as they say it is a capital offense. However, the deputy may be another matter. Start off by reporting his tatics to the higher authorities. Bankruptcy will stop him cold.

Your wife (and maybe you) should consider bankruptcy since that would stop this lawsuit.
