Can I own a firearm after a DVO has expired? It was for one year by the Judge.

Unfortunately, under the provisions of federal law (the Brady Bill), you are barred for life from ever owning, using, or possessing any firearm. Your only possible way out is to have the court void your original DVO, rendering it a legal nullity. Your chances of getting this done are quite slim.

You should not take any action, based upon my advice, without consulting an attorney and explaining all the facts to him. You are best advised to seek the services of a competent Kentucky attorney.
