Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

drug charge
last night eating at a restaurant i had
a small amount of pot on me and had
recognized a gentleman behind me
as a police officer. As i stood up the
bag containing the drug fell out of my
pocket and we made eye contact. i
picked up the bag and headed
straight to the bathroom where i
flushed everything. he came in
behind me and to make a long story
short took my info and told me i was
going to help him and that if i didn't
contact him he would come back and
arrest me for a felony for destroying
evidence. can he do this and do i
have to call him and help him and do
i need a lawyer

I believe you need to hire counsel before you make any deals with the police.
