Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

My now ex-husband and I were arguing over financial issues. He drug me out of our home by my feet, I fought him and ended up with bruising on my left arm and hip. Scrapes on my back and my legs. It was only 27 degrees the night that this happened so I sought protection from the cold in a heated outbuilding where we kept our dog. He found me there and pulled me by my right arm and onto gravels. My right arm popped but had no immediate pain, both my knees were bloodied and bruised. I stood up trying to calm him down but didn't have much luck, he pushed me down into the gravels again and I hit the back of my head on the sidewalk. Again I got up and tried to get him to calm down he pushed me up against the house and held me there by my throat. I finally got away from him and left the property at that time. I walked for more than a mile. I've had an MRI and am currently going through physical therapy 3 times a week because of the injury to my right arm with the possibility of later surgery. My divorce attorney isn't very forthcoming with information as to what my options are. Do I have a personal injury case against my ex-husband?
