Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

LawnCare Child Labor Laws

I own a small landscaping business here is Louisville,Kentucky. I am thinking of starting a non-prfit program for my son and his friends and will eventually go city wide. I want to start marketing lawn care service run under a route system (such as a paper route) and define each neighborhood as troop (such as the boy scouts). I need to know the legal difference between this type of program and a local paper route within the city of Louisville in the state of Kentucky. If there is anything that you can do to help or maybe direct me to someone that can.

Thank you for your time

Re: LawnCare Child Labor Laws

The answers (an I mean answers, Plural)to your situation involve more than I can go into here. Needless to say, factors such as city ordinances, state laws, OOSHA safety regs, etc must be considered. There are also issues surrounding the type of organization that would be best suited to the operation and its accounting and tax needs. You should consult an attorney in Louisville that is familiar with business law. To do less is inviting a catastrophe both in terms of liability and taxation.
