dui arrest
This is a first offense. What are my options and chances of keeping this off my driving record? I am currently unemployed and cannot afford to hire an attorney. Will a public defender help me? Can I find an attorney who will accept a payment plan?

Many attorneys, including me, accept credit cards or make payment plans. However, most lawyers will require a deposit before agreeing to represent you. Your chances of keeping this off your driving record vary depending on what county you are in. There are many good public defenders out there, but the problem is that they are overworked and generally can't spend very much time working on your case.
