My 16 yr. old son lives in Ky with his very abusive father he is now begging me to come get him and let him move home with me in New York, But I worry that he can force him to come back. Can he leave at age 16?

Anything regarding changes in custody and residence needs to either be agreed upon by the parents or go through court until the youth reaches age of majority which is 18.
