Name Change Order

Can the custodial parent of a minor child change the minors last name without the consent of the biological father, even when the father pays child support?

As a general rule (almost concrete)you would need the father's permisson to have the child's name changed, expecially when he is paying support.

Generally, you would have to get permission from the other parent to have the child's name changed.
