Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

charging someone with contempt

My ex-husband is coming through on his obligations in our divorce papers. I am going to charge him with contempt in the state of Kentucky and I need to know if I can do so without a lawyer and if I can how much would it cost me?

Re: charging someone with contempt

If jurisdiction lies in Kentucky, then you can file a motion to show cause (show cause why he should not be held in contempt) on your own. I always suggest that people approach such a thing with caution because an oversight of a rule of practice or unfamiliarity with courts can end up being costly when trying to represent oneself. I cannot answer fee questions in this forum, sorry.
