Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

emancipation

I''m 13 almost 14 and I was wondering if I could be legally emancipated from my parents. If so is it also possible to be adopted after being emancipated?

Re: emancipation

No

and

No.

I know "no" is not a 13 year olds favorite word, but "emancipation" in Kentucky is not a right given to teens. If you and your parents agreed for you to live on your own AND you were able to be responsible for yourself, then you would be emancipated.

Without parental consent, you are doomed to live like other teenagers with parents that bug you.

You need to find a trusted adult to talk about what is going on to make you feel this strongly about it though.
