emansipation

im 17 and have a baby boy am i emansipated or do i have to go get emansipated

Re: emansipation

In Kentucky, you are emancipated if you are a minor and get married. Otherwise, you must petition the District Court in your county of residence for a declaration of emancipation. You must be able to prove an independent source of income to provide for your needs.
