Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

father rights?????

Im a single mother who with a six year old daughter. Her father has stopped paying child support and I am afraid to go after him to pay support that he might try to get visitation, he has never had visitation but I did try I one time to let him see her and let her visit but that did not work out. He would totally go against my wishes when he had her and do things I didnt approve of, but he has never had any visitation set up thru the courts or even tried. If I get him to pay does he have a right to see her or is it two seperate issues??

Re: father rights?????

Child support and visitation are separate issues. That being said, if you pursue child support, he may pursue visitation out of spite. Whatever his motivation, unless visits would seriously endanger the well-being of the child, he would have a right to visitation.

So, while they are separate issues, there is a risk involved.
